I adore the layout created by Becki Adams for the Simple Stories design team and knew that it was going to be one I would scraplift.
I didn't know if I would cut all the florals out from the paper (Happy Life) but once I started, it was hard to stop so I did end up cutting out the entire sheet! Some of these are teeny weeny too!
This style of fussy cutting is different from my normal style where I like to remove a lot of the white - but that would have been a little over the top for these small little flowers.
I contemplated using the lovely pink gingham paper (Lovely Day) as a background but decided that for the florals to shine, the background needed to be plain. Instead, the gingham was used for bordering the background sheet and matting the photo.
Instead of placing each floral down on it's own like in the paper, I grouped my florals except for the bigger flowers. Most larger clusters were popped up using foam squares as well as the large flowers. So cute!
A few die cuts and stickers were all this page needed. Absolutely love how this turned out and the fussy cutting was absolutely worth it!
