Get to know the story behind Creative Junket

Hi, I’m Natalia, the owner and creative mind behind Creative Junket. Creative mess-maker, story saver, and collector of beautiful bits and pieces.

My scrapbooking journey began when I had my first child and stumbled upon scrapbooking supplies at the post office in a small Australian town. At the time, I was into card making and didn’t even know what scrapbooking was! But after joining a local group, I fell in love with the craft—and I’ve never looked back.

Scrapbooking has truly changed my life. It’s given me a way to embrace creativity and preserve my family’s memories. I love looking back at what we’ve been up to, and the process of physically crafting—shuffling paper, choosing embellishments, and especially fussy cutting—is such a joy. Over the years, I’ve expanded my interests to include pocket page scrapbooking, card making, mini albums, and even miniatures!

It doesn’t have to be perfect to be precious. Make the thing. Tell the story. Enjoy the mess.

It all started with a “What if?

Creative Junket started with a simple question from my husband: “If you could do anything, what would it be?” Without hesitation, I said, “Own a scrapbook shop.” At the time, it felt like a wild dream — but with his encouragement (and a whole lot of heart), I took the leap. Since then, it’s been an incredible journey filled with learning, late nights, and the absolute joy of connecting with crafters across Aotearoa.

This little shop is all about modern scrapbooking — the kind that’s bright, fresh, and full of personality. You’ll find carefully curated collections from brands like Simple Stories, Echo Park, and Doodlebug, plus hard-to-find goodies like OLO markers and Shimmerz paints. Every item is chosen to help you play, explore, and tell your stories in your own style.

Why I built this little haven

I created Creative Junket to be more than just a shop. It’s a creative space where you can find inspiration, try new techniques, and fall in love with the magic of paper all over again. Whether you're layering a layout, crafting a mini album, or just fussy cutting to your heart’s content — I hope you find something here that sparks joy.

Big dreams & paper plans

My dream is to keep growing Creative Junket into a true creative haven — a place full of beautiful supplies, inspiring ideas, and a strong sense of community. One day, I’d love to host crops, teach workshops, and even run a retreat. Until then, I’ll keep curating the very best for you — and encouraging you to try something new, like stitching on a page, making a felt flower, or diving into a bold, messy layout just for the fun of it.
