Christmas Memories

Cocoa Vanilla Studio posted a gorgeous layout by design team member Scrapycat Josepine and I immediately wanted to scraplift it but in a smaller version for my Christmas album.
I had already pulled out the Cocoa Vanilla Joyful collection for my album and I really only used minimal supplies for this! I settled on a 6x6 version so trimmed a piece of Simple Stories Color Vibe cardstock down.
I then flicked through the Joyful paper pack and thought the pink paper with stripes would make an amazing bauble so die cut a circle out - I checked that it would be the right size to allow me to add a ribbon to the top and the words around the outside and still fit in the 6x6 piece of cardstock.
Then - fussy cutting! This collection has some lovely florals and I sat down and cut all of them out of one piece of paper. I also fussy cut the cute little deer and Magical Moments from the cut apart sheet.
I wanted to make the bauble dimensional so cut two smaller circles out of foam, and adhered to the back of the pink paper. I did try to push the edges down a little but you can't tell in the photos!
Next, I started to layer all the florals up which is always the fun part! The deer in the wee frame replaced the photo in the original layout, so went near the middle of the bauble.
After that, I popped on the Magical Moments cutapart and the ribbon at the top, followed by the puffy alpha stickers around the outside - I left these until after I had the ribbon on top to space them out. Three puffy hearts completed the page along with some splatters using Shimmerz Creameez in Great Fruit.
Supplies:
- Simple Stories Color Vibe cardstock - White
- Cocoa Vanilla Joyful 6x8 paper pad
- Pinkfresh Studio Spring Vibes mini puffy alpha stickers
- Shimmerz Creameez Great Fruit
- Cocoa Vanilla Happy Days mini puffy stickers
Other items from my stash include circle dies, and gold/pink ribbon. And the usual foam for dimension (I used a sheet of foam and die cut circles), fussy cutting scissors (my fav are the EK Success Cutterbee), tape, glue (Scotch Quick Dry adhesive in a Fineliner bottle) and a paintbrush for splatters!
